Meet the Founder
Akifa Khattak, JD, MHA, MS Biotech, is a healthcare attorney, women’s health advocate, and femtech founder whose work sits at the intersection of science, policy, and lived experience.
With academic training from Cornell University and Johns Hopkins University, Akifa has spent her career navigating complex healthcare systems, from regulation and biotechnology to innovation and patient advocacy. She served as a diplomat as Top 6 Miss Universe Pakistan, where she used her platform to spotlight women’s health inequities on a global stage. Her work focused on advancing access to care, technology, creative advocacy, and policy reform.
Akifa believes that holistic medicine is the foundation of medical science.
The Medical Story Behind Qodiva
In her twenties, Akifa underwent four major surgeries for a rare and complex gynecologic condition involving tumors so uncommon they were not previously documented in medical literature. Her treatment journey included pelvic floor therapy, egg preservation, and chemically induced menopause.
Through it all, Akifa experienced firsthand what so many women face; fragmented care, minimizing feeling unwell, and a lack of holistic solutions for managing inflammation, pain, brain fog, and hormonal disruption... especially during menstruation.
Why Qodiva Was Created
Akifa didn’t want a drawer full of supplements just to get through her cycle. She wanted one thoughtfully designed solution... something clean, science-backed, and actually made for women’s bodies.
So she built it.
Qodiva was created as a one-stop, all-in-one period support supplement to address the most common menstrual frustrations in a way that feels modern, simple, and empowering, not clinical or overwhelming.
A New Standard for Period Care
Akifa believes:
-
Period care is healthcare
-
Women deserve better-designed solutions
-
Wellness should be informed, intuitive, and natural
Qodiva reflects that philosophy... blending science, intention, and ease into a supplement made for real life and real cycles.
This isn’t about “fixing” women.
Qodiva about supporting women fully, thoughtfully, and unapologetically.
